General Custar

George Armstrong Custar belonged to the United States Army during the Civil War and the Indian War.  Since he was young he was involved in the Army, because his family was modest and they could not pay for a school. Although he was one of the worst students, he was able to grow up and got high positions, such as, General.

On the other hand, there was a fact that caused the legendary of his name, he belonged one of the most important war against Indians. It was called The Battle of the Little Bighorn and this started because United States discovered gold in Native Americans land. The thing is, they did not want to sale their sacred piece of land, but North Americans wanted it anyway; obviously, because of the gold. Fortunately, during the war USA was defeated by the Indians; however, the General Custar was killed.
I think he did not do anything heroic, because he was always looking for power and his propose was never to serve the nation.  He wanted to get the gold without thinking how many people could die with this war, including him.

In my opinion, nowadays we can see the same troubles as American Natives in many other sites of the world.  As well as we know, in our country the Mapuche´s problem is a perfect example. Therefore, what I want to say is that in any places or in any period of time; unfortunately, there are always people who wants power and money no matter how they get what they want.
